Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer and songwriter from Reading, Pennsylvania.
At the age of 14, Swift moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue a career in country music where she signed to Big Machine Records and became the youngest
person ever signed by Sony/ATV Music publishing house. Her 2006 debut 'Taylor Swift' began her career and spawned the single 'Our Song', which marked Swift as the youngest artist to individually write and perform a number one song on the Hot Country Songs chart.
In 2008, Swift released her pop-crossover smash album, 'Fearless', bearing the singles 'Love Story' and 'You Belong With Me'. She won four Grammy's for the album and it was the best-selling album of the following year. Through her next three releases, 'Speak Now', 'Red', and '1989', Swift more progressively transformed her sound into a more pop-driven formula. All three of the albums had a roster of number-one songs, Swift single-handedly writing the majority of her work. The latter album received three Grammy's, and marked Swift becoming the only women and fifth person ever to win Album of the Year twice. (Song Bios Copyright © 2016 J♯)
