DIONNE WARWICK - MIDI FILES - BACKING TRACKS - MIDISALE.COM

Marie Dionne Warwick, known professionally just as Dionne Warwick, is an American singer, actress, TV-show host, United States Global Ambassador for the Food and Agriculture Organization, and United States Ambassador of Health. Warwick grew up in East Orange, New Jersey, where she left after graduating in 1959 to pursue her passion at the Hartt College of Music. She landed spots recording backing vocals with the Drinkard Singers and The Gospelaires, the former a group her family was largely apart of, before being discovered by Burt Bacharach.  She signed to Sceptor Records and released her debut 'Presenting Dionne Warwick' in 1963. The 1960's were crucially expansive and successful for Warwick, hits such as 'Don't Make Me Over', 'Anyone Who Had a Heart', and 'Walk On By' solidifying her career. The 1970's saw change in guidance for Warwick, signing with Warner after a fall-out with her former label.  Her career would hit a slow dive and after releasing a string of mildly successful work in the 70's with the exception of 74's 'Then Came You', Warwick would finish her contract with Warner. In the early 1980's Warwick signed to Arista Records and released the platinum-certified 'Dionne', along with the high-charting singles 'I'll Never Love This Way Again' and 'Heartbreaker', the latter her work with the Bee Gees and one of her biggest tracks internationally. The rest of the 80's marked greater achievement for Warwick with the albums 'How Many Times Can We Say Goodbye', 'Reservations for Two', and her collaborative work on the four-time platinum 'We Are The World'. The 1990's was a shifting period of work for Warwick, releasing the mildly successful 'Friends Can Be Lovers', but also representing the 'Psychic Friends Network' as a spokesperson and running the Warwick Foundation. She continued recording and releasing music throughout the 2000's, but her most prestigious accolade has been becoming the United States Global Ambassador for the Food and Agriculture Organization in 2002. Her latest musical collaboration was with country star Billy Ray Cyrus on 2013's 'Hope Is Just Ahead'. (Song Bios Copyright © 2016 J♯)
