BOB DYLAN - MIDI FILES - BACKING TRACKS - MIDISALE.COM
Robert Allen Zimmerman, better known professionally as Bob Dylan, is an award-winning musician and song-writer from Duluth, Minnesota. Being involved in the musical spotlight since the early 1960's, Dylan's influence has carried over into several generations of music. With a raspy groan and wise words, Bob Dylan established his signature sound ruling the early days of the American folk music revival. During this time much of his subject matter was politically related; Dylan was a loud voice for the anti-war and civil rights movements of the era. Songs such as 'Blowin' in the Wind' and 'The Times They Are A Changin' performed as staples to his persistent preaching and wild observation. During the mid- 60's and onward, Dylan explored heavier and alternative avenues, his release of the rockier six-minute 'Like a Rolling Stone' marking this experimentation. The newer sound offered a different brand of Dylan than formerly known, being praised by the rock community and criticized by his folk fans. Throughout the rest of his career his expansion would continue into the likes of blues, rockabilly, and even jazz. Bob Dylan has been consistently touring since the 1980's on what has been called the 'Never Ending Tour', and over the course of his lengthy career he has won eleven Grammies, a Golden Globe Award, and an Academy Award for his talent. In 2012 he received an honor of most high, the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Barack Obama. (Song Bios Copyright © 2016 J♯)

Bob Dylan
American Singer-SongwriterBob Dylan is an American singer-songwriter, artist and writer. He has been influential in popular music and culture for more than five decades. Much of his most celebrated work dates from the 1960s when his songs chronicled social unrest, although Dylan repudiated suggestions from journalists that he was a spokesman for his generation. Nevertheless, early songs such as "Blowin' in the Wind" and "The Times They Are a-Changin'" became anthems for the American civil rights and anti-war movements. Leaving behind his initial base in the American folk music revival, his six-minute single "Like a Rolling Stone", recorded in 1965, enlarged the range of popular music. Dylan's mid-1960s recordings, backed by rock musicians, reached the top end of the United States music charts while also attracting denunciation and criticism from others in the folk movement.
