William Matthew "Billy" Currington is an American country music singer from Savannah, Georgia.
Currington got his start moving to Nashville to pursue a career in country music. He was met with little success and did odd jobs, including concrete work and personal training.  Working as a personal trainer brought in clients of many kinds, including his foot in the door of the music industry. In 2003, after almost signing to RCA Records, Currington signed to Mercury Records.  Currington marked his first top 5 hit with the single 'I Got a Feelin', a single from his debut self-titled that established him in the same realms of current country greats.  In 2005, with the release of his second album, 'Doin Somethin' Right', Currington hit number one for the first time with the supporting single,  'Must Be Doin' Somethin' Right'.  Since then, he has released 4 more albums featuring an array of chart-climbing hits such as 'People Are Crazy', 'Pretty Good At Drinkin' Beer', and 'Hey Girl'. His most recent release to radio of 'It Don't Hurt Like It Used To' serves as the third single for his sixth album, 'Summer Forever', which was released on June 2, 2015.
