'A Hard Day's Night' is a song by English rock band The Beatles, originally released on the soundtrack for the film of the same name, and later as a single alongside 'Things We Said Today' on it's B-side.
The song was released on July 10, 1964 in the UK, and then 3 days later in the US, where in both countries it would top the charts and hold it's position consistently for weeks, the first feat of it's kind for the time.
One of seven Beatles' songs to hit number one within the same year cycle, the song contributed to The Beatles' breaking several records that year, and in 1965 The Beatles were awarded the 'Grammy Award for Best Performance by a Vocal Group for their work on 'A Hard Day's Night'.
